I have been photographing Boudoir sessions for a few years now. I have always been quiet about them and not shown the work to the public. That changed recently. While having an eye opening conversation with one of my girlfriends she mentioned that I should share the work because of the need for women to know that they are pretty no matter their size or age. She had done a session with me a year or so back and said that she felt more pretty during the session than she ever had before. Then when her prints got here she cried a bit about how she was so happy to do this for herself. I laughed and said I thought these were for your Husband? She looked at me with tears and said they were but they are all mine now!

I realized during that conversation that we as women need to show our beauty in all the forms it has taken in us. Beauty doesn’t always come from a magazine or the television. Hollywood should not dictate what’s beautiful! I want you to feel like you have never felt before. I want you to feel Drop Dead Sexy! I want you know that when coming into a session with me you can wear your Hubby’s boxers and a tank and you will still look beautiful and sexy. It doesn’t matter if you are a size 2 or 20 you deserve to do this for yourself!  After talking with several other women recently I have come to find that we see our own flaws as enormous but the men that loves us don’t see them at all. They see what we should see. Men see the women they are in love with as close to perfect as they can. While we see stretch marks they don’t, while see a double chin they see nothing more than the woman they love. Which is exactly the way it should be. I have always been a person who sees beauty in everyone. There is always something beautiful about a person.

When you start your Boudoir session with Steam we begin with having your hair and makeup professionally done. The wonderfully talented Joella Boyer has teamed up with me to give you pretty hair and a glamorous face for these sessions. You will love Joella! She is one of the most genuine people I have ever met. She’s fun and down to earth and she’s a self admitted sassy girly girl! After we have had some girl talk and have gotten you all dolled up we will start your session which will run 45 to 60 minutes. Your entire time with us will amount to 2 to 3 hours. You are welcome bring up to 4 outfits for the session.

Our pricing for this session is easy we charge $150.00 for the session. Print prices and Collections are priced the same as all my other work.  You can choose to go with a 8×8 album or the digital files for $450.00.

Its been a year already, its amazing how fast the time does fly! Here is sweet Edward then and now. Happy Birthday Edward!!!  Check out his then and now birthday video at the end of this post.

Later on in the summer as Tiff got into modeling and started pushing toward having it as a career she asked me if there was anything she could do to learn more about lighting and posing. I asked her if she would be my assistant.  Fast forward to now Tiff has assisted on a lot of sessions and has learned a ton about lighting!  There is a lot about modeling most people don’t think about they assume that a model just shows up and looks pretty. That is not the case though. A good model knows where the light is and what her best features are. She knows how to show emotion with her eyes and her face.

I have enjoyed the many months I have gotten to know Tiffani and can’t wait to learn more about her through the next year. We talk about her going to New York when she is done with her senior year, I can’t wait to see where she is headed! Even if its not modeling there is something big out there waiting for this amazing girl! She’s beautiful its very easy to see however she is an incredibly beautiful person on the inside as well!

As I sit here and write this I am very proud of her. I feel like a second Mom to her now!

Rocco has now started school and Grace is soon behind him I am finding more time to do what I feel is important. I think a blog is the best place for you to get to know me as a Mom, Photographer, Wife and…Wow I have too many titles. So starting today I am pledging more time to my blog and my Pinterest and I have a few other fun things too.. So I am vowing to myself and to you that I will sit here and blog as much as I can. I will post the photos that I taken as self projects and I will post a few of my children along with my clients that have elected to have a blog post.

I am posting some flowers today. This is a favorite self project I have. I photograph almost anything floral.
